Thermal Isolation
Our Titanium Brake Pad Shims install directly between the brake pad backing plates and the caliper pistons. This kit establishes a high-resistance thermal barrier designed to limit heat transfer into the caliper assemblies during heavy braking.
By reducing the thermal load transmitted through the pistons, the shims help lower peak operating temperatures of the caliper fluid seals and internal brake fluid, mitigating the risk of fluid boiling and pedal fade.

- Material Architecture: Utilizes titanium alloys to capitalize on their natural low-thermal-conductivity properties relative to conventional brake shim materials like aluminum or steel.
- Fitment Integrity: Profile-matched to the pad footprint to ensure full piston surface coverage without causing pad binding inside the caliper carrier.

- Thickness Profile: 1.0 mm thickness across both material variations.
- Grade 2 Titanium Conductivity: Approximately 16.4 W/m·K. An option balancing cost-effectiveness with raw corrosion resistance.
- Grade 5 Titanium (Ti-6Al-4V) Conductivity: Approximately 6.7 W/m·K. This premium variant provides the lowest thermal conductivity for maximum thermal protection.
- Baseline Comparisons: For engineering reference, 304 Stainless Steel exhibits ~14–17 W/m·K, while 6061 Aluminum transfers heat rapidly at ~151–202 W/m·K.
- Notice: Brake calipers and brake pads are not included with this shim kit.
