Titanium Brake Pad Shim Kit — LS430 / TRD Monoblock

Reduce heat transfer from the brake pads into the caliper pistons.

WangSpec titanium brake pad shims sit between the brake pad backing plates and caliper pistons. Their job is simple: add a thermal barrier to help reduce heat transfer into the pistons, seals, and brake fluid during repeated hard braking.

Designed for Lexus LS430 front calipers and the rare Supra setups running TRD Japan monoblock calipers.

Material Options

Grade 2 Titanium — Standard Option
A more cost-effective titanium option with good corrosion resistance and better formability. Best for customers who want a titanium shim without paying for Grade 5.

Grade 5 Titanium / Ti-6Al-4V — Premium Thermal Barrier Option
Lower thermal conductivity than Grade 2 and stainless. This is the better choice if maximum heat isolation is the priority.

Thermal Conductivity Reference

Lower thermal conductivity means the material transfers heat more slowly.

• Grade 5 Titanium / Ti-6Al-4V: approximately 6.7 W/m·K
• Grade 2 Titanium: approximately 16.4 W/m·K
• 304 Stainless Steel: approximately 14–17 W/m·K
• 6061 Aluminum: approximately 151–202 W/m·K

Grade 5 is the strongest thermal barrier option in this lineup. Grade 2 is closer to stainless thermally, but still offers the benefits of titanium construction.

These do not fit common OEM MkIV Supra TT front calipers.

If the shims do not match the listed LS430 / TRD monoblock brake pad profile, contact us and we will make it right.
